Bedside Manner

Bedside Manner

Porcelain, Blown & Sand Cast Glass, Wood Table

This assemblage was created as an homage to the thoughts we sometimes take to bed with us at night. Sadly, and unsurprisingly, women in the 21st century continue to be held to societal standards that undermine the independence proposed by the birth of the woman’s movement. There is also still widespread misunderstanding of the term “feminist” and woman here in the United States and around the world are constantly at risk for losing autonomy over their own bodies. We are often forced to live our lives under laws created by men and notions prescribed by the traditions of Christianity.
